Ok, How do I participate in the Pick12 contest? How do I get my results I have not played the competition before, can I still play? I played last year, why does it say I am a new Player? I already made an entry for the race, but I want to change my picks I forgot to submit a pick I missed a race, can I still play? I am away from my computer for the next race, can I still play? Can I make picks for friends that don't have internet access? My E-Mail address changed, what should I do? I want more/less/no E-Mails I want to leave the competition. What do I do? Where are the results? I missed the closing time, help! What is the Pick12 contest?Simple, it is a free just-for-fun contest among motor racing fans on the Internet where each participant uses his/her knowledge of motor racing to predict how drivers will finish at each race in the series season. Each entry will be scored based on the results of each race. The key to success is one's knowledge of the sport, insider information, and most of all, luck! Keep in mind that the only thing that you win here is bragging rights.Ok, How do I participate in the Pick12 contest?Easy, just read and follow the rules carefully.How do I get my resultsSoon after every race (Believe it or not, I do have a life), the results will be published on the website www.speedpick.com/Pick12 for the Pick12 competition, or www.speedpick.com/Esp for the ESP. For Pick12, if you selected Results, or Reminders & Results when you first joined the competition, you will also get an e-mail with your scores. You can join at any time during the season, but it's best to get in at the start.I played last year, why does it say I am a new Player?We keep the mailing list from the previous year, but we only use that to tell players that the competition is about to start. Everybody then starts as a new user, so we can purge out all those foolish people that choose not to play again.I already made an entry for the race, but I want to change my picksNo problem, you can change your entries for a race as many times as you want upto the deadline. Just make your entry as normal - the default entry will be the last one you made.I forgot to submit a pickYour pick from the previous race is automatically submitted for the following race. It can only be carried over for one race though (e.g. your race 3 pick will carry over to race 4, but not to race 5).It's always a good idea to make a pick for every race, just to make sure every pick is a potential winner. I missed a race, can I still play?Whether you are an existing player that missed a race or two, or someone new to the competition that didn't play the first few races, you are equally welcome. There is an overall winner of the competition, but you can still win each race with a good pick!I am away from my computer for the next race, can I still play?You can make a pick for a race at any time in the season. You can make a pick for the season finale now if you want (as long as you have entered all the races in between), so feel free to make an early entry.Can I make picks for friends that don't have internet access?Yes. Just use the forms to make separate picks for each player. Use a different player name, and the same e-mail address. You might want to make sure that you set Results Only for their E-Mail preferences, otherwise you will get reminders for each player.My E-Mail address changed, what should I do?Use that link at the bottom of the score or reminder e-mail to update your e-mail address.If you have any problems, send an e-mail to Pick12Admin@speedpick.com. It pays no money, and is most certainly not a full time job. So, I will do my best to get the results out straight after the race, but sometimes you might have to wait a few days. I will endeavor to be quick - I want to see the results as much as you do.I missed the closing time, help!As noted in the rules, the nominal closing time for each race is 08:00:00 UTC Friday (Thursday for the Saturday races). In practice, the closing time will often be later (30 minutes before first practice) but the time will only be adjusted when Officials provide the full race weekend schedule.If you still don't make your picks in time, make an entry for the next race using the normal entry process, and then send me an e-mail Pick12Admin@speedpick.com asking me to move the entry over.
